Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Malvan Joan Tero, 39 years old, single, and a mother of 3 children. I am honest, trustworthy, hardworking, and willing to learn new things according to my employer’s preferences. I am also a quick learner and can easily adapt to different environments and responsibilities.
Although I do not have experience taking care of infants and children here in Singapore, I gained childcare experience while working for an employer in the Philippines. I took care of newborns and children by feeding them, changing diapers, bathing them, playing with them, and sending and fetching them from school.
I am also willing to take care of elderly people. I gained experience through my volunteer work at NTUC nursing home where I assisted elderly residents by feeding and bathing them. In addition, I completed a caregiver course at TMTI and cared for a disabled person in a wheelchair for 1 year. My duties included bathing, feeding, changing diapers, giving medications, assisting with exercises, and accompanying her to doctor’s appointments and therapy sessions. Though I have an experience taking care of disabled persons, I am not willing to handle disabled persons anymore.
I can cook Chinese and Western food such as pasta, grilled beef, braised pork, chicken, and vegetables. I am willing to learn more recipes and can follow recipe books and my employer’s preferred cooking style.
