Khet Khet Moe is a 31-year-old Myanmar helper who is divorced and has 2 years of working experience. She has one child of her own who is 11 years old, and her child will be cared for by her parents and siblings while she works overseas. Through raising her own child, she has gained personal experience in understanding children’s daily routines, needs and care requirements.
She shared that she previously worked for a family in Myanmar consisting of the employer, employer’s husband and their 1-year-old daughter. Her main responsibility was taking care of the child, along with managing general household duties such as cleaning and cooking. She is experienced in providing daily childcare including bathing, feeding, attending to the child’s needs and following the child’s routine. She mentioned that she is comfortable caring for children from newborn age onwards and is able to handle newborn care.
She is able to cook Myanmar dishes and simple Chinese dishes. She can follow recipes and is willing to learn more cooking styles according to the employer’s preference. She can manage general household duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing and maintaining household cleanliness.
Although she does not have direct elderly care experience, she has completed a Nurse Aid course and is willing to learn and provide elderly care if required. However, she shared that she prefers childcare as she is more confident and experienced in taking care of children.
She is comfortable with cats and dogs. She has experience keeping dogs at home, including feeding and bathing them.
Through the interaction at the training centre, she appears to be an open-minded and friendly person. She is willing to cooperate, learn and adapt to the employer’s requirements. She is also comfortable sleeping together with the child if required.
She is suitable for families looking for a helper with childcare experience, especially families with newborns or young children. She is able to care for newborns and can also manage two children when they are around 4 to 5 years old, based on her confidence and childcare experience.
Our journey began with a simple observation from our own experiences as an employer: the challenges many face in finding reliable, skilled domestic helper while navigating the high agency fees and complexities of paperwork and processes. We realized that many agencies have overlooked the essence of service – understanding the genuine needs of both employers and employees.
Our company aim to integrate the current technology to make the hiring processes seamless for employer and they can do it even at the comfort of their home. This could significantly lower the cost to as low as the bare cost of direct hiring a helper. Our vision was born out of this understanding, and with a determination to bridge this gap, Easy Hire Maid Agency was established.
