Nu Nu Nge is a 24-year-old Myanmar helper who is married and has no children. She has four siblings and is the third child in her family.

She previously worked for a family in Myanmar for 3 years consisting of the employer, employer’s husband, an 18-year-old son, a 20-year-old daughter, a 75-year-old grandmother and one small dog. She mentioned that her main responsibility was taking care of the grandmother, along with managing household duties such as cleaning and cooking.

She shared that the grandmother was visually impaired and unable to walk independently. She was responsible for the grandmother’s daily care including feeding, assisting with daily activities and providing full support according to the grandmother’s needs. She mentioned that she is comfortable taking care of elderly and is able to assist both grandmothers and grandfathers, including bathing and helping with daily routines. She is also comfortable sleeping together with elderly if required.

She is able to cook Myanmar dishes and simple Chinese dishes. She can follow recipes and is willing to learn more cooking styles according to the employer’s preference. She can manage general household duties including cleaning, laundry, ironing and maintaining household cleanliness.

She shared that she loves dogs and cats. She has experience taking care of a small dog, including feeding and bathing it. She is comfortable working in households with pets.

Through the interaction at the training centre, she appears to be a patient and cheerful person. She is willing to cooperate, learn and adapt to the employer’s requirements.

Families looking for a helper with elderly care experience, a caring personality and pet care experience may consider her based on her previous caregiving experience. She prefers elderly care as she is more confident and experienced in taking care of elderly.
