Nyein Nyein Htwe is a 24-year-old Myanmar helper who is single and has approximately 2 years of working experience as a

helper in Myanmar, primarily in elderly care and general household duties.

She shared that she previously worked for a family consisting of Sir, Madam, a 68-year-old Ah Ma and an 80-year-old Ah

Gong. Ah Ma had suffered a stroke affecting her lower body and was unable to walk. Her responsibilities included changing

diapers, bathing Ah Ma, monitoring her vital signs, assisting her with exercises, pushing her wheelchair, helping with

feeding, cooking and maintaining household cleanliness. Through this experience, she has gained hands-on experience in

caring for an elderly person with limited mobility and attending to her daily personal care needs.

Although she has no previous childcare experience, she is interested in learning to care for children and is willing to take on

childcare duties according to the employer’s requirements. She is comfortable caring for elderly persons and children and is

willing to sleep in the same room with either if required. However, she feels that elderly care is her stronger area.

She is able to cook Myanmar dishes and simple Chinese dishes, can follow recipes and is willing to learn more cooking

styles according to the employer’s preferences. She can also manage general household duties, including cleaning and

maintaining household cleanliness.

Through the interaction at the training centre, she appears to be a kind and honest person. She loves dogs and cats and

mentioned that she has both dogs and cats at home, as well as experience bathing dogs.
